School is in full swing and we are hopeful for a great 2021/2022 school year for all students!

The Town of Springdale is seeking committed applicants who have a vested interest in the quality of life in the Town of Springdale to fill two vacant positions on the Design Review Board. The Design Review Board issues Certificates of Appropriateness for all new development and alterations to the exterior appearance of existing buildings that are located in the Design Overlay District. The Springdale Police Department is gearing up for National Night Out to be held on Tuesday, October 5 at 5:30 pm in the park. National Night Out is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. This is sure to be a great family-friendly event! The Splash Pad will be closing for the season at 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 12.

Garbage Collection will be delayed by one day the week of Monday, September 6. Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 6 inobservance of Labor Day.

Lexington County will be hosting hazardous household waste collection events on Saturday, September 25 at the Chapin Collection Center located at 103 Distant Lane, and on Saturday October 23 and Saturday November20 at Ecoflo, located at 1741 Calks Ferry Road.

A Municipal Election will be held on November 2 for the offices of Mayor and three Councilmembers. Filing opens at 8:00 am on August 23 and Closes at 5:00 pm on September 3. Candidates will file through the Lexington County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 605 West Main Street, Suite C.
